Is Pochita leaving denji?
The latest chapters of the manga Chainsaw Man has fans in a frenzy, with the reveal of death devil's plan to end humanity and the famine devil plot to make chainsawman and the war devil more powerful by increasing humainties fear of them
Fans are eager to see how the story will unfold, and speculation is rampant on social media. Is this the end of Pochita, Denji's beloved companion? Will Chainsawman be able to save humanity? Only time will tell
Chapter 151 starts off with fumiko getting captured by the weapon devils, Denji still feeling pain from losing his house and pets, screams at the weapon devils calling them "Monsters", however the weapon devils claim that all they doing is whatever it takes to stop Nostradamus prophecy from coming through, telling Denji to unleash all the anger he is hiding inside and turn into chainsawman, the only one that can stop the prophecy
Barum slowly wakes up from being shot, Nayuta the control devil, noticing this immediately uses her control to force him to commit suicide however Barum unexpectedly fights against her control and attacks her, Barum theorized that the reason she couldn't control him is because he is still under makima's control. Barum begins to blame Denji for destroying their promise of peace by miss Makima and tells him that the flames burning his home and beloved pets are his punishment
Nayuta manages to use her control on a public safety agent forcing him to shoot Barum repeatedly causing him to loosen his grip on Nayuta
As Denji realizes Nayuta is no longer in danger, He grabs hold of the rip cord and attempts to pull. But before doing so, he envisions Pochita standing by the burning apartment waving at a younger version of denji, the younger version of Denji also proceeds to do the peace sign implying that they bidding each other farewell. Jumping back to reality, Denji violently pulls the rip cord and finally turns into chainsaw man
Nayuta runs towards him but stops in her tracks as she notices something was wrong...... because after transforming, Denji starts to unexpectedly laugh. this pretty much indicates that Bad things are about to happen
What does pochita waving goodbye mean?
Ever since chapter 1, Pochita has always been infatuated with Denji's dreams, He enjoys listening to Denji talk his dreams. Even after Denji was killed Pochita gave up his life to become Denji's heart just so Denji can achieve all his dreams. this was a contract that would Grant Denji the ability to transform into the hybrid version of the Chainsaw Devil.
When Makima made Denji lose the will to live, pochita even went as far as forcefully taking over Denji's body and starting living his life for him. living all of his dreams as well as taking out all his enemies
Recent altercations with the chainsawman church causes the public safety division to threaten Denji to never turn into chainsawman again. For the past six months Denji spent everyday like a regular person would, like he always wanted (or so he thought ) Having lived through his dream. Pochita reappears before denji and congratulates him on finally achieving his dream.
Pochita asks Denji what will his next dream be? And Denji replied saying he wants to become chainsawman. Many fans have actually theorized pochita has completely relinquished his title as chainsawman inorder for Denji to achieve latest dream. Pochita has granted Denji all of his strength, a final sacrifice to Denji making him the sole embodiment of chainsawman
