Oshi no Ko, Renai Daiko Manga Go on Break for a Month Due to Aka Akasaka’s Health

 


Aka Akasaka’s Shueisha Twitter account announced today that the two manga series’ he writes for the Weekly Young Jump magazine, Oshi no Ko and Renai Daiko, will be going on hiatus for around one month. Akasaka noted in the message that this is because they were unwell a little while ago for a month but has already returned to writing, though there will be a delay in chapters.


In Akasaka’s message, Akasaka thanked both Nishizawa 5mm and Mengo Yokoyari for their understanding on the delay and “kindly accepting” it.


Renai Daiko, which is illustrated by Nishizawa 5mm, will be returning to Weekly Young Jump in its 41st issue on September 7. Oshi no Ko on the other hand will have its main story go on hiatus until Weekly Young Jump’s 42nd issue on September 14, but in the meantime will be serializing a four chapter story diving into the backstory of MEMcho written by illustrator Mengo Yokoyari.
